Arrived at the farm this morning around 8:00 a.m. 14 degrees outside, oh my! Olivia was in the shed, and when we called out to her, she responded! Brushed her, talked to her, and brushed her some more. I couldn't believe it when she walked up to me and rested her chin on my shoulder and snuggled. As Joy said ... "it's a shame she's so shy!" We were lucky enough to capture the moment on film.
Went back this afternoon, and Livvy was out in the pasture. When I called out to her, she again responded, and walked right up to the pasture gate. We walked, and talked (okay ... well I did the talking) and had a grand time.
The vet came down to see us while we were there, and she told us how sweet and easy Olivia is. She referred to her as a gentle soul. She said she is bright, alert and has no signs of illness.
Go Livvy!
Four more days there ... and we'll be able to take her to her permanent home!
